Biography
Sufian Ararah is an oud musician and composer whose work explores contemporary expressions of the instrument through Mediterranean, North African, and global musical influences. Originally from Tripoli and now based in Berlin, he grew up surrounded by the rhythms and musical traditions of the region, which continue to shape his artistic language. His music draws from Middle Eastern maqamat, North African grooves, and Mediterranean melodies, blending them with elements of oriental jazz, improvisation, and contemporary composition.
